Full Ownership of Data Design & Architecture

This role requires the Data Architect to be capable of advising and designing data structures and processes to best practice standards with a deep knowledge of MS SQL, Transactional and Data Warehouse techniques.

Key Accountabilities:


    • Ownership of the data design and architecture covering both transactional and date warehouse activities

    • Design storage strategy to ensure data efficiency and concurrency

    • Define good practices covering security, performance, resilience and change management

    • Define and implement the strategy roadmap for enterprise data, implementation and data management for new data sources, publicly available data, b2b partnerships and advanced Data Analytics systems

    • Solution development and implementation across SQL Server and the Data Warehouse



    Required Skills:


    • Data and Object Modelling skills with ER or UML modelling

    • Experience with relational database systems in SQL Server

    • Experience in monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting relational databases

    • Strong understanding of the SQL language

    • Experience designing and supporting data warehouses and reporting data structures

    • Experience establishing the DBA function including procedures and documentation

    • Experience with data visualisation tools

    • Strong knowledge of SDLC



This role would suit an individual with strong Data Strategy experience in an medium-sized enterprise.
