Java/ Guidewire Developer

We are currently seeking experienced Java developers with experience working with Guidewire for 3 month contract based in BRISBANE CBD.


This fantastic opportunity is based in Brisbane CBD, and is for an experienced Java developer, with experience in Java Guidewire. For this opportunity you will be offered a 3 month contract and will be working in the heart of the CBD, close to public transport and secure parking.

You will be working for a reputable and well established consultancy, who are committed to delivering successful outcomes to their clients. As a Fortune 500 company, they have a strong national and international presence, and provide innovative solutions across the industry. Their main delivery is based around cloud solutions, commerce, IT infrastructure, Mobile and Security.

Your role as the Software Engineer has a focus on building quality into the software they are building. Refactoring, Continuous Integration, Test Driven and Behaviour Driven Development and Pair Programming. Also endorsing Agile software development principles, such as (but not limited to) - Fixing a broken build is the highest priority, Regular commits (at least hourly), 100% code coverage, Loose coupling and collective ownership of code. The aim is to bring the entire team to another level by mentoring others with their knowledge of automation and quality assurance.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years' experience working as a Java Developer
  • Experience working with Guidewire - at least 2 years
  • Experience working on Agile projects, or experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience working with the Atlassian project suite (JIRA)
  • Experience working with Jenkins and Tomcat.
  • Provides strategic direction on the product road-map
  • Provides training and technical oversight of other developers to ensure a system of high quality
