Purpose of the position

Provide high level leadership, coordination, implementation and evaluation of strategic projects that support specific priorities.

Background of the Project

The objective of the project is to:

  • Ensure key systems are compliant with existing licensing agreements and provide users with the latest technology.

  • Implement enhancements to a complaints management system which supports the future business structure.

  • Implementation of a case management/document sharing tool and processes.

  • Duties - Skills set

    • Provide high level leadership and management in the development and implementation of projects, ensuring effective and high quality, innovative and practical solutions to strategic priorities.

    • Manage human, financial and physical resources, including project specific teams. Ensure effective governance, a culture of client service and the achievement of required outputs.

    • Take responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects ensuring that appropriate project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained.

    • Represent and manage liaisons and negotiations with the other clients, where applicable, to ensure coordinated strategies.

    • Identify and provide advice on resolving issues to ensure information, application and infrastructure compatibility and user preparation and readiness relevant to project activities.

    • Liaise with staff of other clients, where applicable, to ensure that program management, strategic policy and service delivery are integrated.


    • Demonstrate experience in applying the PRINCE2 and AGILE project management methodologies.


    • Ability to gather and investigate information from a variety of sources, explore new ideas and different viewpoints. Probe information, identify any critical gaps and finds out about best practice approaches.

    • See projects through to completion, monitoring project progress and adjusting plans as required.

    • Work collaboratively and operate as an effective leader and team member involving people, encouraging them and recognising their contribution.

    • Take personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work.

    • Approach negotiations with a strong grasp of the key issues. Understands the desired objectives and associated strengths and weaknesses.
