Seeking short term assistance from a skilled professional


Our client is undergoing a great deal of reform, business systems being one of those areas. They are seeking short term assistance from an experienced professional to provide Cognos TM1 and MS Access systems support, administration and maintenance for existing and future in-house business systems. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in training end users and maintaining related training documentation.

  • Canberra Location
  • 6 week contract
  • provide systems support, administration and maintenance for existing and future in-house and WhoG business systems including Budget and Forecasting, Contract Management and Systems currently in Cognos TM1 and Microsoft Access platforms;
  • train end users in existing and future business systems and maintain all related training documentation;
  • be responsible for developing and maintaining all related documentation for in-house business systems;
  • provide responsive and customer focussed services to business units;
  • develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • assist with transition to future business systems, and
  • other duties as directed by the team leader
Essential Criteria:

  • Well developed ICT systems administration and support skills: TM1 solutions development ('advanced' or 'administrator' TM1 accreditation), demonstrated high proficiency using Oracle, or similar general ledger software, at administrator or power user level, and advanced skills using MS Office, Excel and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability in database maintenance and systems development using Microsoft Access and TM1.
  • Well-developed communication skills both written and oral.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service through the building of effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and analysing issues or problems and then developing effective solutions to meet business objectives and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the implementation of Respect, Equity and Diversity (RED), participative work practices and Health and Safety (WHS).
